# The Brain, the knows it all backend #

|
|
Brain is intended to sit in a technical cabinet, connected to power switches it controls, and AAA backend it reports to. It was designed to fit a DIN-Rail enclosure.
|
|
|
|
|
|
Brain purpose is it take action depending on who is authenticated with Pinky at some time. To this extent, it has the following features:
|
|
|
|
|
|
four relays to control switching of external devices power,
|
|
|
three passive inputs, for push-buttons,
|
|
|
a RTC with a supercap (in order to keep a time-base even in case of power outages),
|
|
|
a CAN controller,
|
|
|
an Ethernet controller,
|
|
|
a Power-over-Ethernet PD controller,
|
|
|
some extension ports.
|
